SYNAXON AG joins MATURE
SYNAXON (based in Bielefeld, Germany) is a company that builds upon wikis and their paradigm for their complete internal knowledge management and documentation processes. This provides MATURE with an excellent study object to collect experiences, good and bad practices as part of the ethnographic studies.

Knowledge Maturing Presentation at PROLEARN/EATEL Summer School at Ohrid
A team from the MATURE project is currently at the PROLEARN/EATEL Summer School at Ohrid to network with other researchers in the field of technology enhanced learning. The presentation on Knowledge Maturing by Andreas Schmidt and Pablo Franzolini (the coordination team) opened the first day and already received interesting feedback.

Successful MATURE Kick-Off Meeting
The MATURE IP has started. The kick-off meeting has taken place at FZI in Karlsruhe, Germany, and showed engagement and interest in the project. The high level of interaction among the participants in the plenary sessions, during the breaks and the evening events have shown that we have already formed a good team part of which is on the photo taken on the last day of the meeting.
Center for Futurism in Education (Ben Gurion University) joins MATURE
Amir Winer from the Center for Futurism in Education has agreed to join the MATURE associate partner network:
We believe that by joining as an associated partner the CFE would be able to promote its ongoing research on Intrinsic Motivation, Self Regulated Learning, Life Long Learning and Wellbeing. Additionally, we hope that our research on designing a theoretical and operational model for bridging the dialogical gap between the technological and humanistic cultures can also greatly benefit from this type of engagement.

Official Start in April 2008
The MATURE Grant Agreement has been signed with the official start of the project in April 2008. The kick-off meeting is already scheduled to take place on April 2-4, 2008 in Karlsruhe at the Scientific Coordinator's premises.
The project was also presented at the FP7 Call 3 Information Days at Luxembourg on Dec 18. Slides are available.
